Author of Journey Proud, Salley McAden McInerney, joined an interested group of readers at the Century House for a Meet The Author opportunity on Aug 15th. Salley shared a behind the scenes look at how the book came to be written and what prompted the wonderful characters in the book. Everyone present were huge fans of the book and the Ridgeway Reads bookclub would certainly recommend it as a really good read. It takes place here in Columbia, SC, during the 1960s.
